I am looking for a commercially minded co-founder who wants to build HexaWeaver with me from the pre-seed stage into a viable industrial software company.

HexaWeaver is a deep-tech software project for multi-axis additive manufacturing. It develops intelligent slicing and machine-aware toolpath planning for complex 5-axis printing processes. The goal is to replace fragmented manual workflows with a system that considers non-planar layers, machine kinematics, reachability, collisions, and simulation data from the beginning. A working technical proof of concept already exists, together with a clear development roadmap.

My own background lies in mechanical and aerospace engineering, industrial R&D, inspection robotics, additive manufacturing, and software development. I am therefore looking for someone who complements me by taking ownership of the commercial side of the venture.

Your focus would include customer discovery, market validation, business model development, industrial partnerships, pilot-project acquisition, funding strategy, and grant or investment applications. You should feel comfortable speaking with machine manufacturers, research institutes, industrial R&D teams, and potential technology partners, and translating their needs into clear commercial and product priorities.

Experience in industrial B2B sales, business development, startup financing, product management, or deep-tech commercialization would be especially valuable. Familiarity with additive manufacturing, robotics, industrial software, aerospace, energy, or mechanical engineering would be helpful, but you do not need to be an engineer. What matters more is curiosity, reliability, strategic thinking, clear communication, and the willingness to understand a complex technical product.

I am not looking for an employee who simply executes a predefined plan. I am looking for a genuine partner who wants to challenge assumptions, share responsibility, and help shape the market, strategy, company structure, and product direction. The immediate goal is to identify strong pilot partners, validate the most valuable customer use cases, and develop a focused go-to-market strategy. The intended collaboration would be based on meaningful equity, shared ownership, and a transparent founder agreement.

HexaWeaver integrates non-planar slicing, simulation-driven optimization, and machine-aware toolpath planning into one workflow for multi-axis additive manufacturing. Unlike conventional slicers, it considers geometry, structural requirements, machine kinematics, reachability, and collision constraints before the final toolpath is generated. This reduces manual toolpath engineering and enables complex 5-axis manufacturing workflows that are difficult to create with existing software.

HexaWeaver is an industrial software platform for slicing and toolpath planning in multi-axis additive manufacturing. The software converts 3D models into locally adapted, non-planar manufacturing layers using volumetric meshes, scalar and vector fields, and phase-based surface generation. Simulation data such as stress tensors, load directions, and structural priorities can influence the orientation of layers and deposited material. The resulting geometry is analyzed and partitioned according to machine reachability, tool orientation, axis limits, collision constraints, and feasible manufacturing sequences. The current proof of concept demonstrates geometry processing, field generation, FEM-data integration, non-planar layer generation, and technical visualization. Planned development stages include machine-model integration, collision checking, toolpath sequencing, post-processing, and validation on real multi-axis manufacturing systems.

During the current pre-seed validation phase, prototype access may be provided free of charge to selected research and industry partners as part of a jointly defined pilot project. HexaWeaver is not intended to remain a free product. Future commercial deployments will follow a project-based licensing model, including annual software licenses and optional machine-specific integration, post-processing, support, and development services.

Initial implementation is expected to require more than one month, as HexaWeaver must be configured and validated for the customer’s specific machine architecture, kinematics, controller, process parameters, and manufacturing workflow. A typical pilot includes machine-model integration, post-processor development, simulation, test toolpaths, and validation on the target system. The long-term product is intended to reduce this effort through standardized machine profiles and reusable integrations.
