We (Anne and Joao) are an early-stage startup team from RWTH Aachen University building cutting-edge technology for physically accurate sound propagation in games and interactive applications. Our goal is to bring state-of-the-art 3D audio simulation to the level that modern graphics engines have achieved with ray tracing: making virtual worlds not just look real, but sound real.

💡 What we’re building We develop a software solution that simulates how sound behaves in virtual environments (reflections, diffraction, occlusion) using state-of-the-art acoustic modeling, while keeping it efficient enough for real-time applications.

🔍 Who we’re looking for We are specifically looking for a business-focused co-founder with a background in:

• Business, management, or entrepreneurship or

• Industrial engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen) or a similar field

• Or relevant practical experience in startups, consultancy, or industry

Ideally, you also have an interest or experience in:

• 📈 Marketing & go-to-market strategy

• 💰 Business models, finance, or fundraising

• 🎮 (Bonus) Interest in gaming, tech, or digital products

• Drive business development and market validation

• Shape our go-to-market strategy and positioning

• Take ownership of marketing, partnerships, and customer outreach

• Prepare with us for the EXIST Gründerstipendium and investor readiness
