Co-Founder & Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

SoftwareDevLabs is an AI-native software engineering platform that uses agentic workflows to automate software development for certification-aware software and compliance regulatory standards.

● Direct Financial Strategy: Lead long-term financial planning, bottom-up business modeling, budgeting, and corporate cash-flow forecasting. ● Lead Grant Management: Drive the business-related preparation and administrative compilation of our EXIST Research Transfer Phase proposal, including the market entry strategy, pricing model, and competitive mapping. ● Manage Institutional Interfaces: Act as the primary business liaison with RWTH Aachen University’s transfer office (RWTH Innovation), academic mentors, regional start-up coaches, and federal funding bodies. ● Structure Corporate Governance: Design the company’s early cap table, manage equity distribution models, and prepare the corporate bylaws in anticipation of our legal incorporation in Q4 2026. ● Implement Financial Operations: Establish baseline accounting practices, internal financial controls, and risk-management compliance processes during our pre-incorporation phase. ● Drive Business Development: Conduct customer discovery campaigns, validate customer benefits, and secure Letters of Intent (LOIs) from pilot customers in the European automotive, aerospace, and defense industries. ● Build Investor Relations: Position SoftwareDevLabs for venture capital funding, pitching to deep-tech angel investors and early-stage venture funds to secure matching capital for Phase II.

● Necessary Degree: University degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or an engineering/scientific discipline paired with formal business training. ● Years of Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in startup finance, venture capital, investment banking, public grant administration, or corporate finance. ● Hard Skills: ○ Proven expertise in advanced financial modeling, bottom-up SaaS metrics, and venture capital fundraising processes. ○ Strong understanding of corporate governance, German corporate law (GmbH-Recht), EU laws and compliance requirements. ○ Familiarity with public funding frameworks in Germany (e.g., EXIST, ZIM) and experience in grant writing is highly advantageous. ● Soft Skills: Outstanding strategic thinking, superior negotiation and stakeholder-management abilities, and the capacity to operate with high autonomy in ambiguous, early-stage environments. ● Domain Interest: A deep interest in artificial intelligence, software-as-a-service (SaaS) business structures, or high-potential deep-tech industries. ● Language Requirements: Full professional proficiency in English (B1 level) and native or bilingual proficiency in German (C2 level) to successfully engage with funding agencies, local partners, and public authorities
