We’re looking for RWTH spin-offs that turn excellent research, student projects or lab innovations into real-world products, services and technologies. If your team comes from a research or student background and is building on scientific insights or bringing deeptech to the market, this award is designed for you.



The RWTH Spin-off Award is the only official spin-off prize of RWTH Aachen University. It highlights startups that embody RWTH’s innovation and entrepreneurship spirit and positions them as visible success stories in the ecosystem. Winning teams receive an exclusive RWTH Spin-off label – a clear sign of their strong connection to the university and its research environment, and a quality signal for partners, customers and investors.



We invite applications from spin-offs that

👉 originate from RWTH,

👉 are officially founded (GmbH, UG, AG, OHG, KG, GmbH & Co. KG, e.K.)

👉 and have a founding year no more than two years ago.
