GeneNovate 2027
Empowering Innovators and Entrepreneurs in Gene and Cell Therapies🧬💉
The GeneNovate Entrepreneurship Program is part of the National Strategy for Gene and Cell-Based Therapies and is coordinated by the Network Office GCT Germany.
Are you working in gene and cell therapies, biotech or medicine and wondering how to bring your research to patients with your startup?
GeneNovate is Germany’s first national entrepreneurship program dedicated to gene and cell therapies. It enables scientists and clinicians to translate their research into clinical applications and commercially viable medical products. The program is coordinated by the Network Office GCT Germany and delivered across numerous regions throughout the country. 🦠
Over six months (December 2026 – June 2027), you will learn how to turn a scientific idea into a scalable business model, work in a team on a concrete startup concept and prepare a pitch in front of investors.
The program is free of charge, entirely in English and combines online theory sessions, on-site workshops and close mentoring by experienced experts from research, industry and investment.
Who can apply? 🔬
✅ Advanced students and PhD candidates
✅ Postdocs and experienced researchers
✅ Physicians and other medical professionals
Whether you are just curious about entrepreneurship or already have a concrete startup idea: GeneNovate offers you a structured framework, a Germany-wide network of mentors, founders, investors and industry partners, and the opportunity to test and sharpen your idea in a real-world setting.
