Life Sciences Working Group of TransferAllianz e.V. met in Aachen
Tackling IP challenges in life sciences: Practical perspectives for universities, clinics, and technology transfer🧬
On 21-22 September 2026, the Life Sciences Working Group of TransferAllianz e.V. met in Aachen.
The two-day program focused on what universities and research institutions can practically learn from current IP cases in life sciences, including:
👉 Infringement proceedings and international comparisons
👉 IP lawsuits targeting academia and the role of compliance and risk management
The emphasis was on experience sharing, case-based insights, and concrete takeaways for day-to-day IP and TTO work.
The discussions provided valuable impulses for our own IP and transfer practice and underlined the importance of close collaboration between legal, scientific, and technology transfer experts in the life sciences field.🔬
Thank you to our fellow TransferAllianz members for joining us here in Aachen! We look forward to putting our shared knowledge into practice.🤝
