🚆 Kicking off a strong alliance for Future Mobility!

Last week, we welcomed Transdev GmbH for the kick-off of its partnership with RWTH Aachen University.



The partnership brings together excellent research and real-world operational expertise to advance key topics shaping the future of mobility, from innovative rail vehicle technology and autonomous driving to digital and connected mobility systems.



As the interface between academia and industry, RWTH Innovation supports the collaboration and helps connect research expertise with real-world applications.



A first flagship project is already taking shape: Funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - German Research Foundation (DFG), a project on Predictive Maintenance with Institute for Rail Vehicles (IFS) - RWTH Aachen University explores how maintenance and operational data from rail vehicle fleets can be intelligently analyzed to optimize maintenance strategies and increase vehicle availability.



Beyond joint research and development projects, further formats are planned, including workshops with startups from the RWTH Aachen ecosystem.

The kick-off marked the starting point for a strong alliance for Future Mobility, with the aim of creating tangible impact through safer, more efficient and more sustainable mobility solutions across Europe.
