As technology continues to evolve digital-enabled innovations and intelligent hardware developments will play an increasingly significant role in shaping the future of many sectors and industries resulting in increased accuracy, greater efficiency and reduced costs.

This base is aimed at innovative solutions that use AI, data science, dependable digitization, next generation computing, communication platforms and quantum computing. We closely cooperate with RWTH’s Profile Area Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

This base focus on establishing advanced manufacturing and production technologies. We closely cooperate with RWTH’s Chairs of Digital Additive Production (DAP) and Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components (PEM).

Future Mobility & Urban Life

The focus of this base is on promising mobility, transport and logistic concepts, especially in future-oriented urban environments. We are in close contact to RWTH’s Institute of Automotive Engineering (ika) as well as other relevant RWTH institutes.

Advanced & Sustainable Textiles

This base is concerned with the sustainable development of new or advanced textiles (as well as corresponding materials and components) in conjunction with modern digital technologies. We work together with RWTH’s Institute for Textile Technology (ITA).
